Esquecam o logo, as famosas &#8220;golden arches&#8221;, o Ronald McDonald e as cores habituais da McDonald&#8217;s. Estes dois novos restaurantes tem um design totalmente diferente dos habituais, uma imagem mais &#8220;<strong><em>premium</em></strong>&#8221; e tem o nome de <strong>Quarter Pounder</strong>. A ementa também sofreu alterações e conta apenas com &#8230; dois hamburgers: o quarter pounder with cheese e o double quarter pounder with cheese.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Depois de ter sido <a href="http://www.mktg2.net/2008/10/20/o-marketer-do-ano-e/" target="_blank">eleito Marketer do ano pela AdAge</a>, <strong>Obama (e a sua equipa) confirmou ser um grande comunicador </strong>ao realizar um grande golpe publicitário ontem nas TV norte-americanas.</p>
<p>O candidato democrata esteve ontem em &#8220;<strong>prime-time</strong>&#8221; em três dos quatros grandes canais US (CBS, NBC, Fox), no canal de língua espanhola MSNBC e nos canais do cabo Black Entertainment Vision e TV One. <strong>Um spot TV de 30 minutos foi difundido as 20h00</strong> (na Costa Este dos E.U.A) e até obrigou a final do campeonato de base-ball nacional a começar mais tarde. Ao total, esta ultima grande operação mediatica tera custado mais de 5 milhões de dollars a equipa de campanha democrata.</p>
<p>Este spot conta a historia de 4 famílias americanas representativas deste pais e revele quais são os seus desafios, preocupações e problemas quotidianos. Obama repete assim uma ultima vez as suas soluções, proposições e apresenta-se com um homem politico pragmático que houve o seu povo e sobretudo traz respostas concretas.</p>

<p>E sem duvida um grande golpe publicitário. Este spot vai re-enforçar a escolha dos pro-Obama e conquistar os indecisos, e isso por as 5 razões seguintes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Esta campanha vai (ou melhor esta a) criar um <strong>buzz</strong>. Raro são as publicidades que duram meia hora, em prime-time, nos maiores canais do pais e que são difundidos simultaneamente.<strong> Com certeza que hoje, nos EUA não se fala em outra coisa</strong>.</li>
<li>Obama explorou o lado visual e <strong>emocional</strong> muito forte que oferece a TV. A poucos dias das eleições é perfeito para <strong>marcar as mentes dos eleitores </strong>sobretudo num pais onde a escolha politica faz-se mais com critérios emocionais do que racionais.</li>
<li>O <strong>media plan</strong> foi muito bem concebido. O Spot foi difundido na hora máxima de audiência, nos canais de maior mais vistos e sobretudo e um media plan que toca <strong>todas as sferes sociais e étnicas da população americana</strong> (Publico Geral e WASP com a NBC, CBS e Fox, Latinos com MSNBC a e Afro-Americanos com a Black Enterntainment Vision). <strong>Ontem Obama falou a todos os americanos.</strong></li>
<li><strong>O timing é perfeito.</strong> Falta um pouco menos de uma semana para as eleições (4 novembro). Por um lado é o<strong> suficiente para os pro-McCain esquecerem o Maverick e começar a considerar um voto democrata</strong>, e por outro não é <strong>demasiado tempo e não ha riscos do que os eleitores esquecem-se deste spot convincente até dia 4</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>A concorrência não pode contra-atacar</strong>. Este foi sem duvida o ultimo grande golpe de Obama e que golpe! Mas do que a força deste spot, o que vai doer do lado republicano é que McCain não estava a espera de um tal ataque e mais do que isso &#8230; a campanha republicana ja esgotou o seu orçamento de 84 milhões de dollars. <strong>McCain encontra-se assim incapaz de contra-atacar antes do dia das eleições</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p>Uma coisa é certa, se Obama tornar-se o próximo presidente dos E.U.A, teremos um grande marketer e um grande comunicador a frente deste pais (e são qualidades muito preciosas na politica).</p>

Sem surpresa, a marca mais falada é <a href="http://www.mktg2.net/2008/09/23/marca-mas-valiosa-do-mundo/" target="_blank">também a mais valiosa</a>, a <strong>Coca-Cola</strong> ocupa assim o primeiro lugar deste ranking. Logo após vem a <strong>AT&amp;T</strong> (segundo lugar), a Verizon (terceiro lugar), <strong>Pepsi</strong> (quarto lugar) e a <strong>Wal-Mart</strong> (quinto lugar)</p>
<p>Acho esta classificação engraçada, diferente, mas claramente <strong>pouca significativa</strong>! Valera a pena a nossa marca ser a mais falada se não sabemos o conteudo do que se diz sobre a nossa marca? O que quero dizer é que esta medida é puramente quantitativa e <strong>falta-lhe uma dimensão qualitativa</strong> (discussões positivas vs discussões negativas).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A<strong> Pepsi</strong> já tinha anunciada uma <strong>mudança de imagem</strong> nos próximos tempos. Num <strong>mercado tão competitivo</strong> e dominado por um concorrente fortíssimo como o é a <strong>Coca-Cola</strong>, tentar um re-branding era necessário mas também muito delicado.</p>
<p>O processo já foi iniciado há alguns meses e mais do que num novo logótipo, este re-branding resulta num <strong>novo posicionamento</strong>. Agora a Pepsi quer ser mais do que uma simples marca tradicional e tenciona posicionar-se como um <strong>líder cultural</strong>. Segundo a <a href="http://adage.com/article?article_id=132016" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/adage.com');">AdAge</a>, vão ser necessários 5 meses para esta nova imagem substituir a antiga na mente do consumidor.<span id="more-80"></span></p>
<p>E também interessante ver que para esta acção de maior importância a Pepsi apostou na &#8230; Internet. O eterno rival da Coca-Cola explorou o potencial de discussão que tem os <strong>lideres de opinião</strong>. Para tal além do tradicional package enviado aos marketeers influentes, a Pepsi também criou uma <a href="http://friendfeed.com/rooms/pepsicooler" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/friendfeed.com');">chat room no <strong>FriendFeed</strong></a>.</p>

<p>Pessoalmente tenho dificuldades em pronunciar-me sobre este novo logótipo, não consigo dizer se gosto ao não. Por um lado acho-o frio (talvez por causa do azul escuro predominante) e por outro lado o sorriso traz um bocado de humanidade. Não sei é por motivos políticos ou não &#8230; mas acho este logótipo bastante parecido com o logótipo da campanha do <strong>Barack Obama</strong>.</p>
